Wakeskating
Wakeskating is mixture of wakeboarding and skateboarding it has a similar design of board manufactured from maple or from fibreglass. Unlike wakeboarding, the rider is not attached to the board, which gives the sport its own unique challenges. Instead, the top surface of the board is covered with griptape like a skateboard. Riders usually wear shoes while riding similar to skateboarding. The speed at which riders wakeskate behind a PWC (Personal Water Craft: Jet ski), boat, cable system, or winch is generally 16 – 22 miles per hour. However, this depends on water conditions, the weight of the rider as well as a preference matter of the rider.

Flip Tricks
Flip Tricks
Basics
There are many different flip tricks in skateboarding, and they range in difficultly.
The basic flip tricks are:
Kickflip- The Kickflip is a street skateboarding trick invented by professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen where the Skateboarder swipes his foot at an angle Skateboard in order to make it flip 360 degrees along the board's long axis.
Pop Shuv-it-A Pop Shove-It, or simply Shove-It is a flip trick where your feet cause the board to rotate backside 180 degrees while keeping your body in the same direction.
Frontside Pop Shuv-It- The same as a Pop Shuv-It except it rotates behind you instead of in front.
The tricks are the basics, when these tricks are mastered they can be combined or altered into a different more complicated tricks. For example a Kickflip and a Pop Shove-It can be combined into a Varial Kickflip. All of the basics have some kind of more complicated variation to them.

Videos
Earlier this week the skate video by Chocolate and Girl, Pretty Sweet was released. In today's post I'm going to link some skate videos that I like in no order.
Paul Rodriguez - Today was a good day This is not a video with amazing skating it in as it is only an advertisement, but its a pretty funny video.
Skateboarding Super Heros This is a brilliant video, all the skaters are dressed up as super hero's and do some crazy skateboarding, There is a lot of different tricks and styles in it.
Nathan Hammond - Shredit Cards This is an amateur video, but don't let that stop you from watching it. This is one of my favourite skate videos on youtube.
Plan B China Trip Part 1 This is a 3 part video of Plan B's china trip. Pros such as Ryan Sheckler and Torey Pudwill are in this video. Its a small Plan B video in preparation for the full video coming out soon.

Skate Websites
Websites where to buy things skating related
My favourite website to use is routeone.co.uk. I use this website because it is uk based so the shipping is cheaper then getting it elsewhere and they have a wide variety of stuff to buy and it is well priced. They are very quick to get your stuff dispatched, and rarely make a mistake. They have US brands as well as European brands. I would highly recommened using this website.
Another website that has a wide range of products is shop.ccs.com. This is an american website so I have never had the opertunitey to use it, though the reviews of it are very good. They do ship to other countries though the shipping rates may be expensive, and you may be charged customs. The items are much cheaper then route one and then have more products.
An Irish website that you can use is wreckless.ie they have a skate shop in wexford but if you cant get there they do deliveries. The shipping is rather expensive, the products are expensive and they have a very bad selection. I would not recommend this website, it is irish based but its cheaper to buy elsewhere.
Other websites
Other websites to use are ebay and amazon. Though they will not be as high quality as the proper skate websites. You may be able to find good products here, but you will find very cheap products that will break quick due to their poor quality, these products are dangerous and you will hurt yourself using them. I recommend staying away from here.

Youtube channels
Youtube Channels
There are many different channels for skateboaring on the youtube. In todays post im going to talk about a few of them.
The Ride Channel
The Ride Channe is one of my favourite channels, they post about 3 videos a day. They have all the newest competitions, info on skateboarding and skateboarding videoes. They do sections called Free lunch were they interveiw professionals. A section called trick a day, they get skaters to do a trick tip video to help people learn, this is there longest running section. The last section they do is shred credits, where they edit a skate video and make it cartoon like.
Thrasher Magazine
Thrasher Magazine is a very popular channel. It does a monthly magazine, hence thrasher magazine. This channel is like the ride channel, it gets all the best pros and does many different sections, they do not upload daily though but they have better quality videos. They do a section called hall of meat, which the channel is most famous for.
Smaller Channels
Most companie's and pro's have their own channes such as plan b, dc shoes.. ect. Pros like Paul Rodreigez and Ryan Shecklar.
Other Websites
There are many different websites besides youtube such as, hella clips which uploads the newest clips and videos. Another website is the berrics, this is an award winning site and is the perfered site of many, but a lot of the videos only work inside America.

Monkstown skate park
People say this is the best skatepark in Dublin. You have to pay an entry fee and it is a mostly skateboarder park. It has many ramps aswell as rails, perfect for any skater.
SOFD
This is an indoor park, also with a entrance fee. It has many different things to skate, so again is perfect for all skaters. It is usually very packed due to it being one of the few indoor parks.

Plan B
In 1991, skateboarding was entering a new era. Some of the best new pros wanted to start something that was different than the majority of skateboard companies and reflected their personal attitudes and views. That company was called Plan B. Plan B features top of the line, authentic products and one of the best all around skateboard teams in history.
